On Tuesday March 13, 2007, Mrs.
Kearney and the Irish Club hosted a Mass and reception in anticipation of the
Feast of St. Patrick on March 17th.
Msgr. Michael Flood, Pastor of
Saint Luke Church in
Glenside, Pa. was the celebrant. Monsignor celebrated the
Mass in Gaelic,
the sacred and ancient language of Ireland. Students of the Irish
Club were the ministers of the altar and the leaders of song. Mrs. Eleanor
Knopf, from Queen of Peace in Ardsley, played the piano for the celebration.
Ms. Sheena Trainor, our Music Teacher and Band Moderator sang the beautiful
Irish hymn to Our Blessed Mother ~
"Our Lady of Knock".
After the Mass, everyone was invited to the cafeteria for delicious, delectable
Irish-American dishes. And yes -- desserts too! Scroll down for
