The Royalist

The Royalist

Moderator: Ms. Kristy Murphy

The ROYALIST, published four times during the school year by the students, presents the highlights of life at school. Qualifications for editors and reporters are an outstanding interest in the school and a willingness to give time. Meetings are held weekly after school. All are welcome.

The Bishop McDevitt Royalist Staff works diligently to create quarterly newspapers full of the latest school news, activities, opinions, and interviews. The staff consists of writers, editors, proofreaders, layout designers, and photographers.  During the weekly meetings, the staff gets together to bring their information into a organized design including catchy headlines, action shots, interviews, crossword puzzles, mazes, and tons of other things. When all the necessary criteria have been gathered, the editors sit down and compile it into a fully digitized newspaper that is proofread and given the go-ahead.

It is then mailed back to our school and delivered to all the homerooms for distribution the next day. The Royalist would like to thank the school, as well as its own staff, for their continual involvement in the club and constant support.
