Mentor Day 2005

Dr. DiNenna receives our flag from Lt.Cmdr. Sarah Arnold, M.D., Class of '87.
Officer Arnold is a McDevitt Grad who was recently stationed in Iraq. The flag flew on Iraqi soil and upon Officer Arnold's return she presented the flag to her Alma Mater.

The plaque held by Dr. DiNenna reads:

This flag was flown over Marine Aircraft Group 16 Headquarters
Marine Air Base ~ Al Asad, Iraq
On 25 December 2004
During Operation Iraqi Freedom II
In Honor of Bishop McDevitt High School
~
Guy M. Close, Colonel USMC, Commanding Officer, Marine Aircraft Group 16

The flag will be permanently displayed on the main floor.

What is mentor day?

On Monday April 18th, Bishop McDevitt welcomed back a number of graduates to participate in our Mentor Day Program.  Our seniors had an opportunity to speak with graduates who have gone on to a variety of different careers.

These mentors have gone on to successful careers in aviation, business, psychology, auto repair, and health care, just to name a few. McDevitt is proud of its mentors and we continue to provide our current student body with as many opportunities as possible to see how the education and spiritual formation they have received will lead them to fruitful and happy lives.
