The Graduating Class will ho= ld its Baccalaureate celebration on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in the Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul at 7:00 PM and the Commencement Exercises= will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008, at Arcadia University at 10:00 AM. The Most Reverend Joseph = P. McFadden, Auxiliary Bishop of = Philadelphia will preside at the Commencement Exercises.

Four (4) tickets= will be given to each senior for the Liturgical celebration at the Cathedral.&n= bsp;

Each senior will receive eight (8) announcements and six (6) tickets to th= e Commencement Exercises for Friday, June 6. Please DO NOT bring anyon= e who does not have a ticket. It is embarrassing to turn people away at the door. There are no reserved seats except= for you, the graduates, and the faculty. ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE NOT TICKE= TS OF ADMISSION.

Seniors will receive announcements and thank you cards on May 14, 2008. Any senior who has received a FAILURE WARNING, who is in trouble regarding CONDUCT, or who has not completely paid TUI= TION, GRADUATION FEE, OR ANY OTHER DEBT WILL NOT RECEIVE GRADUATION MATERIALS until the problem is resolved. If t= here is any question, come to the Activities Office.

REHEARSALS

= ALL SENIORS are being informed, in advance, of the dates to reserve for Graduation practices. We are distributin= g this schedule to allow sufficient time to make necessary arrangements and adjustments to ensure your presence. If you work, your empl= oyer will recognize and understand your primary responsibility if you give adequ= ate notice.

= NO EXCUSES will be accepted. Pla= ces will not be saved for absent seniors. PLEASE do not make doctor or dental appointments or college placement appointments as you have had sufficient notice= .

= Dress Code <= span lang=3DEN-GB style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>= for all practices is the complete school dress code. EXCEPTION - On June 5 at Arcadia University, Kuch Center, you may wear casual clothes that are in good taste.

Dress Code for Graduation & Baccalaureate<= /u>

= PLEASE NOTE: With the cap and gown, gentlemen w= ear white dress shirts with dark tie, dress pants (no jeans), no sneakers, no shorts. Ladies wear light-col= ored clothing under the gown and light-colored shoes; stockings or pantyhose are= a must. The cap and gown are no= t to be accessorized in any way. T= his includes beads, buttons, signs, etc. Caps are placed on the head so that the top is flat. DO NOT LOSE THE TASSEL. Caps and Gowns are a keepsake;= you need NOT return them. Ladies, please do not wear flip-flops for shoes.&n= bsp;

= Tuesday, May 27 - Last regular class day for all seniors; books due.

= Wednesday, May 28 <= span lang=3DEN-GB style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>- Practice for flag bearers, readers and altar servers for the Baccalaureate = at the Cathedral. Depart Bishop McDevitt on school bus by 8:30 AM and return by 12 Noon. All other seniors are off.

= Thursday, May 29 - Caps and Gowns distributed after Senior Awards Assembly. All report at 8:00 AM to the Auditorium. 9:30 dismissal. SCHOOL DRESS CODE REQUIRED.

= Friday, May 30 - 9:00 AM until……? Mandator= y. All seniors report. <= /b>Practice for Baccalaureate. Assemble i= n HR sections in Auditorium. Flag bearers and readers for Baccalau= reate report at 8:00 AM to the Activities Office. SCHOOL DRESS CODE REQUIRED.

= Monday, June 2 <= span lang=3DEN-GB style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"'>= - 9:00 AM until......? Mandator= y. All seniors report to HR secti= ons in the Auditorium for Baccalaureate Practice.= Tickets for Baccalaureate distributed at end of practice. SCHOOL DRESS CODE REQUIRED.

= Tuesday, June 3 - 9:00 AM until……? <= /b>= Graduation flag carriers and award winners are to report to the Auditorium. All other seniors are off.

= Wednesday, June 4 - 9:00 AM until……? Mandator= y. All seniors report to the Audi= torium for Graduation practice. SCHOOL DRESS CODE REQUIRED.

=      6:00 PM SHARP!= Report to Our Lady’s Chapel = and sit in your assigned places.   Be dressed in Cap and Gown. Baccalaureate Mass will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.

= Thursday, June 5 -= = 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM – Mandatory.<= /span> Graduation practice is at Arcadia University. Assemble at the entrance of Arcadia University, Kuch Center. Tickets for Graduation distributed at end of practice. 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM - Class Nig= ht and Yearbook distribution. Casual clothes in good taste. Seniors only. No friends, family or guests permi= tted.

= Friday, June 6 - 9:00 AM SHARP! Assemble on t= he lawn behind Kuch Center, weather permitting.&nbs= p; Graduation Ceremony begins at 10:00 AM.             =

1) Caps and Gowns are worn for Baccalaureate Mass.

2) At Mass: Men, remove your caps from the Reading of the Go= spel to the Final Blessing. Carry the= cap under your arm when receiving Communion.&n= bsp; Tassel is worn on the right.

3) OUR LADY’S CHAPEL - connected = to the Cathedral. You should, therefore, be silent while waiting to move to the Cathedral. Please sit in assigned places ther= e so that you can form lines more easily.

= PARKING - Some parking adjacent to the Cathedral is available. The PARKING LOT for the Archdioces= an Office is across Summer Street on Logan Circle, and parking is available on Race Street= after 6:00 PM. Policemen will be on= duty to assist. Allow time for any traffic problems. You should be present at 6:00 PM.<= /b>

1) CAP - The tassel is worn on the righ= t at Mass and at Graduation before the President of Student Council receives his diploma. Change the tassel to= the left after the President changes his.

2) RECEIVING AWARDS/DIPLOMA - When you receive an award or diploma, take the

award with your left hand and shake han= ds with your right hand at the same time.

= PARKING - This is available at Arcadia University, Kuch Center.

= HANDICAPPED= - If you have family members with special needs, please contact Mrs. Naab’s office NO LATER than May 19. Parking passes will be pr= ovided and special seating may be arranged. These individuals and their families MUST have the proper passes before Graduation day.<= /o:p>
