Rosters…= ;

Mr. Achuff will mail out class rosters the week of August 15. If you know of any roster changes = needed NOW – please call or email Mr. Achuff at 215-887-5575 X235. Roster changes before August 1 are= free! Reminder school fee and July Tuition payment must be paid to receive roster= s.

Parents’ Association – The First meeting of the Parents Association will be held on Septem= ber 23 at 7:00 PM. You will have = the opportunity to meet and greet the Bishop McDevitt Administration and Parent Executive Board. Please mark = your calendars and plan to attend!

2009 Yearbook= – Order= s for the 2009 Yearbook are due on October 31.&n= bsp; This year the yearbook staff is offering “Parent Messages̶= 1; for all classes. Please stay = tuned for more details!

Back – = to – School Night – All parents are welcome to come and visit with their child’s teachers on September 10 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Underclassmen Picture Day – All underclassmen will be photographed on September 30. Parents will be able to purchase p= icture packages. Information will be= given out about pricing at Back-to-School Night.

Reminders for the Discipline Office̷= 0;All uniforms must be in accordance with handbook regulations. Skorts= must be the right length and cargo pants are not permitted. Regulations can be found in the St= udent Handbook on the web at www.mcdevitth= s.org . No backpacks or purses are allowed during the school day. Students are permitted to carry only the Bishop McDevitt issued penc= il case. If your child is in nee= d of a replacement pencil case it can be obtained from the Business Office for $3.= 00.

Athletics

Sports Physic= als

All athletes are required to complete the PIAA Sports Physical Form for 2008-2009. The form can be downloaded at www.mcdevitths.org= or picked up in the Business Office. All Athletes were given a copy of the physical before leaving in June. Please note...the requi= red 9^th and 11^th grade physicals are not the same as the PIAA physical F= orm. In order for an athlete to step foot on the field or court they must have t= he completed PIAA form signed by a physician and a parent in the Activities Office.

Sports Fees

All athletes are required to pay a sports participation fee for each sport they compete. The sports participa= tion fee for the 2008-2009 school year is as follows:= $115 for the first sport; $115 for= the second sport; $50 for the third sport.&nbs= p; The Sports fee due date for fall athletics is Au= gust 25. If an athlete does= not have his/her sports fee paid by that date they may be suspended from the team. Please note…the s= ports participation fee is required and is not connected with any other fees that= the athlete might incur while playing for the team.

NEW!!! This year each sports team will be given the opportunity to purchase team a= nd individual athletic pictures. All teams (besides football) will be shot on the same day to avoid any conflicts with games. The Fall Sports Picture Day is schedu= led for September 18at 1:30 PM in the Gym.
