Course Requirements
Attendance Policy:
Students are expected to attend class daily. Being
absent does not excuse you from any material that was
discussed in class, or any assignment due in class.
Excessive absences will seriously affect your grade.
Evaluation Procedures:
Your final grade will be calculated from the following:
-
1. Class Participation – You must bring to class
with you a pen, pencil, textbook, notebook and
folder on a daily basis. Failure to have any of
these items will result in a ten point deduction
from a given 100 at the start of the course.
-
2. Homework Completion – Written homework will be
given at least twice a week. This homework must be
done to completion and handed in on time. The
average of your homework grades will be worth a
percentage of your final grade.
-
3. Quiz Average – Pop quizzes consisting of ten to
twenty questions will be given once a week. This
average will also be calculated into your final
grade.
-
4. Test Average – At the completion of each topic a
written test will be given. This average will also
be calculated and only a percentage will go to the
final grade.
-
5. Alternative Assessment – This may be a research
paper, or other project assigned. Two of these will
be given (one each quarter).
6. Folder grade – All documents are to be kept in a
folder until course completion.
