Due to Covid-19 Restrictions Shadow Days are suspended until further notice.

Register Here to spend the day at Bishop McDevitt High School

What occurs on a shadow day?

During a shadow day you will experience what a true day at McDevitt is like. You will  “shadow” your host throughout the day going from class to class and really get the feel of the community and spirit of McDevitt.

Who will I shadow during my visit?

Our goal is to set you up for the best day. Your host will be a student who has the same interests and academic record as you do.

Where and When do I arrive?

Please enter through the main entrance at the front of the school building around 7:30 AM. You will meet with the Director of Admissions and your host for the day. The school day ends at 2:21 PM. You will have to arrange your own form of transportation home.

What do I need to bring?

You do not need to bring anything but yourself! McDevitt will provide you with a packet of information and a lunch ticket. You can bring a few extra dollars for the school store.

Who is invited to Shadow Days?

We invite all 8th graders and interested transfer students to shadow at McDevitt. During the Spring we open this to 7th graders as well.

How many shadows do you have per day?

The Shadows are limited to FIVE per day. Once we have received the five requests for a given day, that day will close to other shadow students. We do apologize for the inconvenience this causes, however, it is important we do not overcrowd our classrooms. Thank you for your understanding and support.
