Dear Parents and Guardians:

 

I hope that you have been enjoying this incredible summer!  We are looking forward to the start of the 2019-2020 Academic Year.  Below find some pertinent information regarding a successful start to the school year.

 

Uniforms

Gentleman:

Khaki  pants

Black/Brown leather belt

Black dress shoes with rubber non-marking soles 

Summer/Spring: Black Bishop McDevitt Polo Shirt with emblem

Fall/Winter: White oxford shirt long/short sleeve with gold and black striped tie and black cardigan sweater with school emblem or 1/4 Zip black pullover with school emblem.

 

Ladies:

Charcoal Wrap-Around kilt

Black knee high socks/stockings

Black dress shoes with rubber non-marking soles

Summer/Spring: Black Bishop McDevitt Polo Shirt with emblem

Fall/Winter: White oxford shirt long/short sleeve and black cardigan sweater with school emblem or 1/4 Zip black pullover with school emblem 

 

Rosters

Rosters will be available through Power School beginning August 20, 2019.  Please see the attached letter for PowerSchool log-in information. Eligibility for Roster release include: 2018-2019 Financial obligations paid in full and a minimum of one month tuition paid in the 2019-2020 Facts account.

 

Roster changes will be made for major conflicts only.  Changes in lunch periods will only be considered for medical reasons and the request must be accompanied by a doctor’s note.  It is important to note that much time and effort has gone into the creation of the rosters based on the students’ course selections as well as the scheduling needs of the school.  A roster change form can be downloaded from the website and is due in the Academic office by 3PM on Friday, August 30, 2019. The cost for a roster change is $60.00.

 

We remind all ninth and eleventh grade students they are required by the State of Pennsylvania to have a current, completed physical form.  Parking permits and locks may be obtained in the Student Services office. Chromebooks and iPads will be distributed during the first two weeks of school.  

 

For ninth grade students, rosters will be available during Orientation/ Retreat scheduled August 19th, August 20th or August 27th, 2019. Summer Reading

Summer Reading is posted on the school website.  Each grade level has two or three books assigned to be read by the beginning of school. As part of the One Book, One School Program, all students are required to read “The Color of Water” by James McBride.

 

Sports

Fall Sports Registration begins on Monday, August 12, 2019 in the Business Office from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

All students should be in full uniform including ID cards. Freshman students will receive ID cards during the first   week of school. Please make sure that everyone is in compliance with the school dress code.
